The Sephora Sale is OPEN
Hey normies, today is our day. The Sephora sale opens up to the masses and I for one, have been taking notes.
You may have heard (lol) that the sale opened up for the biggest spenders a few days ago and I have been cheerfully following along. Spending that kind of money at Sephora tells me one of two things: either they are committed to high end products and restock the really spendy stuff frequently, or they consistently test drive a lot of new releases. Whatever the case, I salute you, Rouge-ers. I like a recommendation from she who goes before me.
Now I am as normie as they come. We come in many stripes, but here are my qualifiers: I am a working mom. Technically mid-30s although leaning towards late. Average salary. Likes to look nice. Has to look professional most days of the week and I am GD tired. Distill that down and what I mean is this: I’m interested in good quality products, but I don’t have endless cash to throw at it. Point me in the right direction girls. Give me efficient luminosity or nothing at all.
Here’s my swift and efficient shopping list today:
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer - I am deeply loyal to this product. It is the high end product that taught me the value of high end products. It actually makes me look better - more awake, slightly more alive in meetings. Radiant but not shimmery. Furthermore, it covers everything without turning cakey and makes my entire face look airbrushed.
Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush - Trust me, just get the mini. You can paint an entire wall with the amount of pigment in this sucker, so a tube the size of your thumb will last you a good year.
The Ordinary Daily Moisturizer and The Ordinary Azalaic Acid - The moisturizer is an excellent basic that really locks in moisture. The azalaic acid is better than any Vitamin C in my book. For clear, bright skin, this baby does the trick. And you cannot beat The Ordinary’s prices even outside of the sale.
Make Up Forever HD Skin Matte Blurring Powder - Expensive, but wow. This will cover every and any sin. Just make sure to use a good dewy setting powder if you run dry, like I do.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Smooth Blurring Matte Powder Bronzer - I have been on the hunt for a bronzer that is free from shimmer or flecks of glitter. This flat, matte shade comes highly recommended and I am increasingly attracted to anything that promises blurring powers. It’s new to me and I’ll report back.
Makeup By Mario F1 Dual Ended Contour and Blush Brush - I have learned my lesson that a good product can go wrong if the application is not done right. Aka cheap brushes will fuck you out of hard earned money. I have the F4 and good god, does a good brush make all the difference. I’m upgrading my blush brush while the price is right.
Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Liner in Iconic Nude - For me, this color is better than Pillow Talk. Leans more brown than pink. Most importantly, it lasts longer than my first cup of coffee, which is surprisingly rare, even in the vast world of high-end lip liners.

Here’s my full watchlist - I can’t/won’t get it all but boy, is it ever fun to linger over.
If you’re shopping Sephora today, will you report back? I’d love to hear what you found, love, are test-driving, etc.
