February Favorites | 2026

Guys, I’m a woo-woo girl. I have well documented my impulse to consult with the Magic 8 Ball on my desk and direct a question to my preferred digital tarot card deck. Gut feelings and intuition? We don’t know her because baby, we’re checking in with the stars. I mean, I’m exaggerating some - I generally do make decisions based in facts - but boy do I love a little insight from the universe, you know? So on the front end of February, I read this overview of the month and I was like, okay okay okay! Sounds promising. And true to form, things around here went for a real shake-up.

Maybe I’m being dramatic, but I did get a new job after 12 years at the last one and man, does that feel like a real change! I was just looking around, trying to think of other things that changed, but that’s really it. Somehow though, it feels like it’s my entire life and maybe so, because I’m one of those gals who deeply identifies with my work, so I’m rolling with it. In any case, I felt all out of sorts this month and aside from the work stuff, I can’t figure out why. Maybe a little bit of seasonal depression settling in too? It’s that time of year, after all!

How was your February? Any life changing moments?

**

I’m a basic as hell bish, but when I roll into my sister’s city, I make a point to get some Crumbl cookies. I freaking love them.

Quick month, but no shortage of favorites over here! Let’s jump right in -

1 // Retail Therapy Podcast

I’ve followed Sunday Scaries on Instagram and Substack for a while now, but somehow never tuned into the related Retail Therapy podcast. Folks, you know what a treat it is when you find a new-to-you podcast to absolutely binge and that’s what I’ve been doing. I would call it elevated lifestyle talk, leaning heavily on retail (duh) but also some pop culture and foodie stuff.

2 // Historical Fiction

TBH always a favorite, but I looked over my Goodreads and realized I’ve being pretty streamlined in terms of my recent reading genre. Here’s a few books I’ve read and liked recently.

3 // SAD Lamp

It might be placebo but I prefer to believe she helps. I have this lamp on my desk and I flip that baby on first thing in the morning while I’m drinking a cup of coffee. I swear it keeps the inevitable seasonal sadness at bay, at least a little bit.

4 // Whole 30

I won’t dwell because I don’t want to be insufferable but I’m performing 30 days of extremely clean eating in the true spirit in which it is intended, which is to figure out what the fuck is bothering my body. I suspect I have some food intolerances that make my belly go from normal in the AM to 5 months pregnant by the afternoon and I would just like to pinpoint exactly what those intolerances might be. I will cry if it’s dairy because boy am I missing the cream in my coffee. On the other hand, maybe I didn’t do enough pre-research but I have been surprised and delighted to find my skin the clearest it has ever been and (this is weird) literally no need for deordorant.

5 // Related: Pecan “Milk”

So far, the only acceptable substitute I have found for my coffee is the Pecana Unsweetened Pecan Milk that I found by pure chance at Walmart earlier this week. Not half and half, but she does the job!

6 // CBK Mania

We all have it right? Love Story on Hulu has us all back in the early 90’s when JFK was the most eligible bachelor and CBK was wandering around NYC exemplifying to a GD tee what it means to be effortlessly cool. Her hair! The way she embraced when the coat is the outfit. I saw headbands out at my local TJ Maxx and you know when the trend has trickled all the way down, we are really in it.

7 // False Spring

I know it was short-lived but it was glorious! For almost a solid week, it was sunny and upwards of 45º and when you’ve been deprived enough, that is patio weather baby! I was with my sister and it was a Saturday on that first nice day, so we perched up on her deck with a drink in hand. Is there anything sweeter than the first peek at spring weather? I think not.

8 // Best Sellers

I am DELIGHTED to see so many of you took home the Coconut Coffee Body Scrub and Wash. Please say you love it as much as I do - it smells just like summer! Speaking of summer, we’re working on our fitness. I know “beach body” has become a swearword, but I see nothing shameful about admiring my calves in shorts when I’m diligent about my entry-level weight routine. I highly recommend this wintery, but not Christmasy puzzle. Currently on sale for $12! Oh and haha, we all loved this just-for-fun tee. Ooh and a consistent favorite.
