What I Actually Buy on Amazon

You can always tell when a company or product has a great commission rate for the influencers, because suddenly all of them are pimping it at the same time (oddly enough!). And it just….it doesn’t feel authentic, you know? Remember the Brick during the holidays? Hm, haven’t heard a peep about one of those things since. Weird. Or how about when AG1 has a campaign? You’ll know it because suddenly everyone on IG has been drinking it “for years!” Lol, sure Jan.

Look, we all have to earn a living and I’m supportive of us all working for our $$$. I just wish people on the internet would straight up tell you that they got something for free before they tell you that something is worth your money, you know? Like if Tiffany wants to tell me that Gruns vitamins are soOoooO amazing, girl show me your receipt and I expect that you have a few of them to share because if you love it so much, you bought it more than once, right?

I digress. I know this week is a little shouty with the latest Amazon sale going on, so I’ll keep it brief. I’m going to tell you exactly what I actually and regularly buy on Amazon. And I buy these things with my own money, which I make at my 9-5 job. I’m not wealthy, but I do like nice things, so let’s freaking go.

***

Lug Sole Chelsea Boots

Became my wintertime daily drivers while on duty (in the office) and on my personal time. They stand up really nicely to snow and rain. And they look really polished which is such a win for winter boots, you know?

Mrs Meyers Hand Soap // LavAzza Super Cream Whole Bean // Drift Air Fresheners in Teak

  • Mrs. Meyers is such a good quality drugstore hand soap and the scents are excellent. I keep a refill size bottle of Basil on hand, and picked up the Rhubarb scent for spring.

  • LavAzza whole bean coffee, and specifically the Super Crema, is our daily driver at home. I use it in the French press and also my espresso machine.

  • If I can talk you into anything, let it be the Drift air fresheners. The teak scent will make your car smell like a rich person drives it. Just trust me.

The Ordinary

Instant repurchases are Soothing Barrier Support Serum // Azalaic Acid // Lightweight Hydrator.

The Soothing Barrier serum instantly calms down my skin and gives it just a massive drink. The azalaic acid keeps my skin incredibly clear and bright. The hydrator is a good quality, daily driver if you need a facial lotion.

I also have the glycolic acid (huge tbh, and I’m barely halfway thru) and I really like the exfoliating peel for when I need a gentle chemical exfoliant.

Classic Square Watch // NYX Foundation Brush // Medicube

  • A classy, yet inexpensive watch that you do not need to be precious with. I’ve been banging mine around for a good two years of near constant wear.

  • An very good quality foundation brush, and particularly so at the price. Without a sale, this runs $15.

  • Medicube is having a social media darling moment, but the products that I have tried really do deliver. I’m particularly beholden to the Zero Pore pads, which have not resulted in zero pores, but it does produce the most clean-from-within glow. The Collagen Night Wrapping masque is for those of you who desire so-called glass skin. Temporarily, she is yours.

There is no product that I go harder for than Flamingo Body Moisture. There is nothing on the market that smells more chic and clean. Comes in a hydrating spray, thick body cream, and daily lotion, so whatever your application preference, they’ve got it. And for $14!

Dolce Vita Woven Heels // Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer // Filler+ Thickening and Heat Protection Spray

  • A wishlist item! I have it in my cart, just waiting for a sale alert!

  • Vanicream is a cult classic for a reason. It works and it’s available at drugstore prices.

  • There’s a billion heat protectant sprays out there, so pick your favorite. This one is mine based entirely on the fact that I think it smells nice.
