Some Recent Daily Drivers | February 2026
From the depths of winter
How often do you trade out your daily drivers? I don’t think I’m particularly calculated about it but I certainly find myself gravitating to heavier products as we get deeper into the winter months. It’s a slow transition, just switching out as products run out, but come February, my cabinets and drawers have made the full winter switch-over. When it comes to skincare, the lightweight moisturizers from summer are long gone and in their stead, heavy occlusives that come in tubs. And on the makeup front, I’ve been pulling moodier shades from the drawer.

A few things that I’m pulling out everyday.
La Roche Posay Gentle Cleansing Oil // It’s just too good. If you’re extremely dry like I am, this cleanser is so gentle and still manages to melt all of my makeup off my face at night. I buy the big pump bottle because I know I’ll use it to the last drop.
The Ordinary Barrier Serum // This product is new to me, one that I bought on a whim. I kept getting served ads and have generally been pleased with the brand so I decided to give it a try. I apply it after washing and before moisturizing. It’s an extra step but I do think it locks in moisture really nicely and serves as a nice barrier between my face and the world. Would definitely repurchase!
Vanicream Daily Moisturizer // The most unsexy basic, even the branding is lame, but GD you cannot beat a product that does exactly what it says it will do. This is the best drugstore moisturizer on the market IMO. Total bang for your buck. Lightweight but serves moisture.
Cetaphil Hydrating and Firming Cream // Jury’s still out on this one. I just picked this up a few weeks ago because I figured a little firming hurt nobody and I’m always trying to add a little more moisture to my routine. I’ve been applying this after the Vanicream at night. I don’t necessarily feel more firm, but I’ll report back once I’ve used up the entire tube.
Maison Margiela Replica Jazz Club // Ooh my favorite find of the season! I picked a sampler pack of scents and this was the standout. It’s warm and smoky but not masculine somehow. Maybe a hint of vanilla? I really love it. A true daily driver.
Glossier Balm Dot Com in Gingersnap // It’s my millennial showing, but I’m a ho for the balm-dot-coms. Gingersnap is a warm beige color and just spicy enough.
Maybelline Lifter Liner // Guys, I have bought so many lipliners, looking for something that lasts longer than one cup of coffee. I am talking about YOU pillow talk! Nothing - I mean literally nothing - lasts longer than Maybelline’s Lifter Liner and it’s $8 American dollars.
Maybelline Tattoo Eyeliner // Maybelline has figured out the formula because I have the same praise for the eyeliner. Sharpens like a GD dream and will draw the thinnest line if you want it too. And once she’s on, she ain’t moving.
Anastasia Blurring Bronzer // A happy find! I picked this up during a nice pre-Christmas sale and I use this in tandem with setting powder where I need a little extra color. I will also usually swipe along my lids as a subtle eyeshadow.

Old standbys
Goodies so good that I almost never swap them out.
Rare Beauty contour and liquid blush // NARS radiant creamy concealer // Laura Mercier transluscent setting powder // Urban Decay in Space Cowboy

A few things I haven’t tried yet, but I’m curious about! I’ll probably save these for when I need to restock or a good sale comes along.
I love to have a seasonal scent and I gave Phlur Beach Skin Body and Hair Mist a quick sniff while wandering through Sephora a few months ago. I’m keeping it in the back of my mind for spring or early summer //
Just out of pure curiosity, I want to try Powder Melt Glass Setting Spray because I had it in my cart during the November Sephora sale and it kept selling out. I’m pretty hooked on Urban Decay, but when something sells out over and over again, I would like to know why!
